Lending their structure from a type of wooden window covering used throughout traditional architecture in the Middle East, the Mashrabiya earrings feature the signature latticework characteristic. The intricately patterned panels of a Mashrabiya served purpose beyond their adorned exterior – to convect cool winds and to conceal the occupants of the house, preserving their anonymity. Designed to evoke a sense of mystery, all of the pieces are sterling silver, with a selection also gold plated.
